The Trust is focused upon support for education, training, curation and exhibition in the historic and decorative arts, as well as wider charitable causes in particular relating to the City of London.

The Trust provides annual scholarships, bursaries and prizes to support education and training in the arts, and provides both regular and individual grants to support the wider historic and decorative arts.

During the period 2022/2023 the Trust has made, and will continue to make, significant grants to arts institutions as they seek to address challenges created by the Covid pandemic. Recipients have included the British Museum and the Association of Independent Museums (AIM).
