Arts Scholars Cultural Scholarship Scheme
Arts Scholars Cultural Scholarship Scheme was founded in 2010 by Geoffrey Bond, OBE, DL, FSA, a former Sheriff of the City of London, who wished to promote the cultural economy and give young people a better understanding of their heritage.

The Scheme offers Sixth Form students the opportunity to pursue work experience in a range of museums and galleries, as well as other opportunities in the arts and heritage sector.

The aim is not only to inform about careers in the heritage world, but also to encourage students from under-represented backgrounds to gain interest and experience of heritage and cultural organisations.

The Scheme currently provides students at participating state schools across London and Nottingham - the City of London Academy (Southwark) and Becket School (Nottingham) – with one week internships at a range of galleries, museums, libraries and other heritage organisations.

Students have previously completed work experience at the National Portrait Gallery, Buckingham Palace, the Victoria and Albert Museum, The Geffrye Museum, Whitechapel Art Gallery, Ham House (National Trust) and Guildhall Art Gallery, to name a few.
"The Scheme also provides students at participating schools across London and Nottingham - the City of London Academy (Southwark) and the Becket School (Nottingham) are regularly involved – with one week internships in a range of galleries, museums, libraries and other heritage institutions "
- Srishti, William Morris Sixth Form, Ben Uri Gallery
"I really enjoyed my time at the V&A and I would recommend it to anybody who is interested in the arts. Also, I would recommend people to visit, not only for inspiration for their work, but also for their own enjoyment."
- Megan, City of London Academy (Southwark), V&A Museum
