Sonya Zuckerman
Sonya was educated at the Lycée Français de Londres and read law at Queen Mary College, London University. She qualified as a Solicitor in 1979. After practising as a property lawyer for a short time, she spent 37 years at Chambers & Partners as a headhunter. She was Chambers’ HR Director during the last three years of her time there.
Her father was a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Coopers and had an art gallery. Her husband, Michael, was Master of the Coopers’ Company in 2013-2014. Sonya is also a Liveryman of the Coopers.
She is Chairman of City Consorts, an organisation designed to give the Consorts of future Livery Masters the confidence and knowledge to embrace and enjoy their year. She is a committee member of the Bishopsgate Ward Club, and past membership secretary of One4All (Past Masters’ and Consorts’ Association 2014).
She collects Japanese wood block prints, miniature bronzes, and anything by Issey Miyake.
